Publication ethics and malpractice statement

All the papers presented in the Books of Proceedings of the ITC&DC conference have been reviewed and approved by International Review Committee. However, the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board and the ITC&DC organiser (Organising Committee ITC&DC conference, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile Technology) are not responsible for the contents and the opinions expressed in the papers presented. All the rights belong to the authors, meaning further publication conditions should be agreed upon with the authors in question.

After any Book of Proceedings has been published, the authors and other persons/institutions wishing to publish reference or in some other manner use the papers published here, are kindly requested to explicitly identify prior publication in the Books of Proceedings of the ITC&DC conference, including the ISSN number (ISSN 2718-3262) and page numbers concerned.

Authorship and contributorship

This publication ethics and malpractice statement ensures that contributors (author or non-author contributors) who have made substantive intellectual contributions to the paper published in Book of Proceedings are given credit and that contributors understand their role in taking responsibility and being accountable for published content.
The International Review Committee of the ITC&DC 2024 recommend that authorship is based on the following criteria:

  1. Substantial contributions to the conception of the paper and the acquisition, analysis and interpretation of data for the paper;
  2. Final approval of the paper to be published;
  3. Authors are solely accountable for all aspects of the paper in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the paper are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Contributors who have contributed materially to the paper but whose contributions do not justify authorship should be described clearly in the Acknowledgement statement.

Corresponding authors

The corresponding authors should provide assurance that all authors included on a paper fulfil the criteria of authorship and that no authors who fulfils the criteria has been excluded as an author. The corresponding authors are responsible for submitting the paper for consideration in Book of Proceedings and for communicating with the Editorial Board members during the manuscript submission, peer review and revision process. They ensure that all of the ITC&DC's administrative requirements are properly completed. These include, but are not limited to, providing details of authorship, ethics committee approval, clinical trial registration documentation, and gathering conflict of interest forms and statements. These tasks may be delegated to one or more co-authors, but the corresponding author is solely responsible for them.

Alteration to authorship

Any change in authorship after initial submission and before publication must be approved by all authors. This applies to additions, deletions, a change of order to the authors' names or a change to the attribution of contributions. Any alterations must be explained to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief may contact any of the authors and/or contributors to ascertain whether they have agreed to any alteration.

Acknowledgements

An acknowledgements statement may be included at the end of the paper, detailing those who helped in carrying out the research for specific paper but hasn't been recognised as contributors, or funded the research in question.
