HOW TO GET DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik is situated in the southernmost part of the Republic of Croatia and is connected with the European capitals and the rest of the world by air, sea and public transport.
 

  By plane

Dubrovnik has an International airport, located 17 km from the center. All participants flying to Dubrovnik should book their flights directly to Dubrovnik. The name of the Croatian airline company is Croatia airlines.

As official carrier Croatia Airlines is offering a 25% discount on applicable published IATA airfares for the event participants and accompanying person.
The discount is applicable for Croatia Airlines flights only, on tickets purchased in Croatia Airlines offices.
To obtain the discount, a confirmed registration form must be presented at the time of purchase.

AIRPORT DUBROVNIK
Flights and timetables


If you are arriving on a regular flight, there are regular buses departing from the airport to Dubrovnik. Travel time is around 20 minutes.
 The buses leave the airport after every landing. The price is Kuna 25 (EUR 3) and you can buy the ticket on the bus.
For those preferring to take a taxi to Dubrovnik, there are taxi-cars waiting throughout the entire day (just outside the airport hall). You will probably be offered a price in advance, or you can demand that the price be determined by the taximeter. The price is Kuna 200 (EUR 25).

When traveling from Dubrovnik, the departures of the regular buses from the main bus terminal are 90 minutes before the estimated takeoff time.
 
  By road

DUBROVNIK is some 600 km away form Zagreb.
From Zagreb you take a highway for Karlovac, and continue by the state road via Plitvice Lakes, small towns Gracac, Knin, Sinj to Split, where you take a coastal road to Dubrovnik and Cavtat.
Road distances of Dubrovnik from: Ljubljana 750 km (Slovenia), Graz 780 km (Austria), Budapest 800 km (Hungary).

  By Sea

Another pleasent way of traveling to Dubrovnik is by sea. There are international and coastal ferry lines arriving and departing from Dubrovnik.
Jadrolinija is the main Croatian passenger ferry company, with the highest number of regular international and domestic lines. The other Croatian shiping and freight agency is Jadroagent Ltd.
International ferry lines:
Zadar - Brbinj (Dugi otok) - Ancona; Zadar - Ancona; Split - Ancona; Split-Stari Grad (Hvar)-Korcula-Ancona; Dubrovnik -Bari.
 
  By Rail

The rail network connects all major Croatian cities, except Dubrovnik. There are direct lines to Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and other countries. Indirect lines also exist, conecting Croatia to almost all other European countries. If you plan to travel by rail the best way is to arrive to Zagreb or Split and take the bus from there to Dubrovnik.
